It's Bebo "YANLOID" Akapane again... and it's about time I'll explain where I am now. I decided to retire a while back. Most of my income is from people in city Chikakimu streaming my old YANLOID era work (which I always encourage on various MB programmes whenever I get interviewed), or by making and selling assorted bits of beaded jewelry. And now I'll show you how to make a bracelet! Same kind I made for and gave to Niya, with a star in the center.
Start off with the bracelet. Learn how to ladder stitch pony beads together. Then come back and replicate this pattern with any color you'd like. But, if you want it to look exactly like Niya's, follow the pattern below:
By the way, you may add extra rows (or remove some) depending on the size of the wrist of whoever's going to wear it!!!
Once you tie that off, learn to make a star! There are various tutorials on the real-world web (going by this one for reference... go there if you find my vague tutorial useless), but I'll explain it kinda vaguely:
You'll need 10 of one color (for the center) and 15 for the points! Or, if you'd like, 25 of the same color!!
Take 10 beads, and tie them... almost like a tiny single.
Now, shape it into a pentagon.
Add three beads on the longer part of the string. Put the string through the "point" of the pentagon piece, and repeat until the star's done!!
Tie off the star!
Now, the tricky part... Get the star tied to the bracelet. Do your best with this one... I wrote the instructions BEFORE I made it for 2ya... hehe...
Now, go and make one yourself!! I believe in YOU! Ta!
Now, go ahead and look at the one Sunny (the webmaster) made!! :)
